Does anyone have any good ideas for a post about Tuscan wine?

I just found an interesting competition where I can win 6 bottles of Chianti wine (priced at €300!). I've just got to write an interesting/informative blog post about Tuscan wines.

Now I know this region has some amazing wines (I've tasted a few!), I'm just a bit stumped as what to talk about. Maybe I'll write something about the wine festivals in Florence. Hmmm...

Anyway, does anyone have any thoughts?

(If you want to enter too, it’s on the To-Tuscany website http://www.to-tuscany.com/to-tuscany-extras/wine-blogger-competitio... -  but I’d prefer it if your entries weren’t as good as mine! Ha ha! J )

The goal is to provide informative content that can be used by any winery, regardless of their technology platform. The videos will be on…

High maintenance clients need not apply

A prospective winery client recently asked us about a statement we have in the services pages of our website that talks about us cancelling our agreement if we find that a client is too high maintenance. We'd forgotten we'd added that to the website two years ago after we had to cancel a client who was blaming us for all their problems and sucking 20% of our entire support effort.

I've been told that I have an attitude when I have to work with stupid people. I consider it more of a…

Inline editing available for winery websites

Posted by Ron Kreutzer on October 11, 2013 at 11:28am 0 Comments

We think our winery-specific enterprise content management system is intuitive and easy-to-use (and our clients confirm this), however we weren't satisfied with our clients having to remember where to go in the content management system to make a change to a web page. All of our winery clients that use our website services can now display their website, navigate to the page needing revision, and make the revision directly on the web page using our easy-to-use content editing tools.…

Responsive design vs. mobile web app – why you may need both

Posted by Ron Kreutzer on August 21, 2013 at 10:22am 0 Comments

A responsive website is one that can alter the presentation (design) based on the screen resolution of the device on which it is viewed. A non-responsive design displays the same web page to a visitor if they are viewing it on a desktop, tablet or smartphone. On smaller screens, the web page is typically scaled down so small that the text is unreadable.

Back in 2005, WineWeb implemented cascading stylesheets (CSS) to control the entire design of a winery website. This separation of…
